Divided Highway Ahead gives advance notice that the roadway will split around a median — prepare to keep right where the division begins.
Warning signs alert you to hazards or changing conditions ahead.
Hold the right side as you approach; if a Keep Right sign or island nose appears, pass on its right. Watch for confused oncoming drivers near the transition.
Warning signs are usually yellow diamonds with black symbols. In construction or maintenance zones they are orange instead of yellow.
