Two-Way Traffic Ahead warns that your one-way roadway is about to become two-way — oncoming vehicles will share the road with you shortly.
Warning signs alert you to hazards or changing conditions ahead.
Move out of any left-side positioning, keep right, and finish any passing manoeuvres before the two-way section begins.
Warning signs are usually yellow diamonds with black symbols. In construction or maintenance zones they are orange instead of yellow.
Warning version (diamond, ahead) vs regulatory version (rectangle, in effect now) — the exam may show either, and "ahead" is the word that separates them.
Road signs are one of the five areas the 30-question Alberta Class 7 knowledge test covers, and the largest block in our mock exam at 8 questions. Signs are the easiest marks on the paper. Bank them, then practise the harder topics free — that's usually where the pass is won or lost.
