Merge From Left warns that another roadway joins yours from the left ahead, and its traffic will be blending into your lane at speed.
Warning signs alert you to hazards or changing conditions ahead.
Check your mirrors and left blind spot, adjust speed or change lanes right if safe, and create a gap merging drivers can use. Don't speed up to close the gap.
Warning signs are usually yellow diamonds with black symbols. In construction or maintenance zones they are orange instead of yellow.
Merging etiquette is heavily tested: through traffic should help mergers match speed and blend, but vehicles on the ramp must yield if a conflict arises.
