What to do at this sign

Commercial drivers: follow the signs into the station when signals indicate it's open. Passenger-car drivers: no action needed, but expect trucks merging out of the station ahead.

How to recognize this sign

Regulatory signs are usually white rectangles or squares with black or red markings. A few have special shapes: a red octagon means Stop and a red-and-white downward triangle means Yield. A red circle with a slash means something is prohibited.

How the Class 7 test asks about this sign

The knowledge test occasionally checks that you know inspection stations are mandatory for the vehicles they apply to — skipping an open scale is an offence for truck drivers.
