Dangerous Goods Route marks the roads that trucks carrying dangerous goods (fuel, chemicals, explosives) must follow through an area, keeping hazardous cargo away from dense neighbourhoods.
Regulatory signs control how you may use the road — they must be obeyed.
Drivers of placarded dangerous-goods vehicles must stay on these routes. Other drivers should simply be aware they're sharing the road with hazardous cargo — keep your distance and never cut off a heavy tanker.
Regulatory signs are usually white rectangles or squares with black or red markings. A few have special shapes: a red octagon means Stop and a red-and-white downward triangle means Yield. A red circle with a slash means something is prohibited.
If the exam shows this sign, the answer involves trucks carrying dangerous goods being required to use the route — it does not restrict ordinary passenger vehicles.
