What to do at this sign

Slow before the first curve and hold a steady, reduced speed through both. Straightening your steering between the two curves too early is how vehicles drift over the centre line.

How to recognize this sign

Warning signs are usually yellow diamonds with black symbols. In construction or maintenance zones they are orange instead of yellow.

How the Class 7 test asks about this sign

An S-shaped arrow means two opposite curves; the direction of the first bend in the arrow tells you which way the road goes first.

How much is this sign worth on the test?

Road signs are one of the five areas the 30-question Alberta Class 7 knowledge test covers, and the largest block in our mock exam at 8 questions. Signs are the easiest marks on the paper. Bank them, then practise the harder topics free — that's usually where the pass is won or lost.
